Very good condition
In the sketches and notes reproduced here Robert Watts has captured ideas for Fluxus objects and environments

Condition:

The 20 colored serigraphs are in overall very good condition. The cloth-covered clamshell box is in good condition with only slight signs of use. The images measure each 22 x 27.5 cm, the sheets 50 x 35 cm. The dimensions of the clamshell box are 52.8 x 37 x 4 cm.

Robert Watts (1923-1988)

Robert Watts studied mechanical engineering and did military service in the US Navy before turning to art and studying from 1946 to 1948 at the Art Students League and in 1951 at Columbia University in New York. In 1953 he became Professor of Art at Rutgers University in New Jersey, which he held until 1984. Watts' works budge in various art movements such as Fluxus and Pop without settling for a definite style. In 1972 Robert Watts was represented at the Documenta 5 in Kassel. His works are hold in the collections of major museums such as the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Tate Modern in London, the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris and the Kunsthaus Zurich. (fea)
