Robert Willson (American/Texas, 1912-2000) "Big Western Sky: Sunset", ca. 1950, gouache on paper, sight 9-1/4" x 10-3/4". Glazed and presented in a russet-edged sand-hued mat within a broad antiqued giltwood frame. Note: The New Orleans Museum of Art owns a major collection of Willson's works on paper and his sculpture in glass. Other museums owning work by Willson are the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and the Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, New York.
