Oblong 4υo (203 x 275 mm). Engraved title-page and 100 engraved plates by Pietro Ruga after drawings by Roccheggiani (some occasional very minor marginal spotting). Contemporary speckled calf gilt, flat spine gilt, edges stained yellow (some minor rubbing, front cover slightly bowed).

A fine series of engravings illustrating military costumes, vases, furniture, jewelry, clothing, and other antiquities of the Romans, Greeks, Etruscans, and Egyptians. An earlier edition was published in 1804 by Raffaeli. See Brunet IV, 29008.
