Lot 51: Rookwood iris glaze pottery vase, c. 1904, decorated by Carl Schmidt with pale lavender/blue crocus

blossoms on a gray/blue shaded ground, base with impressed Rookwood trademark, date mark (IV), W for iris glaze, shape number 925E and artist's monogram, 6 3/4" h., scattered light crazing, short firing line on interior wall (line does not penetrate body to exterior wall), rim fitted with a metal (silverplate?) collar which may or may not be original.
