Description

textile designer, known for her Art Deco imagery. She studied at the Pratt Institute of Design, San Francisco School of Design, and in Paris with Leger. She exhibited from the 1910s-50s, at such places as the Art Institute of Chicago, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Boston Museum of Art. She taught textile design at the Cooper Union Art School and Columbia University. She designed wall coverings for Radio City Music Hall, and this particular design is in the collection of the Cooper-Hewitt Museum of Design and the Smithsonian Institution.
