A Lady, wearing lavender dress with white lace trim and pearls to the bodice, green stole, her right fingers on the strings of her lute, pearl choker and pendent earrings, her hair upswept and dressed with a strand of pearls.
Signed on the obverse with initials S.C, gilt mounted within rectangular lacquered papier-mâché box; together with a Lady, wearing yellow dress with ribbon bows to the bodice, lavender cloak with hood, matching ruff choker and hat dressed with pale yellow ribbon, Circle of Nathaniel Hone (Irish, 1718-1784), gilt-mounted within rectangular carved tortoiseshell box.
