* Sandys-Lumsdaine (Leesa, 1936-). Portrait of a dappled grey mare and female rider against a landscape with country house, 1970, oil on canvas, signed and dated lower right, 63.5 x 76cm (25 x 30ins), framed. Leesa Sandys-Lumsdaine's first commission was to paint the portrait of a guinea pig, for the fee of one guinea. She went on to paint many celebrated horses, including the legendary Arkle, as well as champion greyhounds, and all manner of country subjects, including hunting scenes. (1)
