Das Buch zeigt 82 s/w-Aufnahmen von Auspuffrohren verschiedener Autotypen. Unterhalb der Abbildungen ist jeweils der Name der Automarke, nicht aber das Modell gedruckt. Die metaphorische Titelgebung geht über eine sachliche Bestandsaufnahme eines Ed Ruscha weit hinaus. Es sind extrem wenige Exemplare dieser Publikation erhalten. Der Karlsruher Virtuelle Katalog weist kein Exemplar im deutschsprachigen Raum aus.

The metaphorical title references an objective inventory of Ed Ruscha. Very few copies of this publication still exist. The Karlsruher Virtual Catalogue lists no copies of this work in any German-speaking countries.
