Elaborately matted, framed and glazed, with guarantee labels of Scriptorium and Memorabilia, Ltd. in California on back of frame.Schoenburg was a groundbreaking composer and music theorist, whose innovative, atonal compositions led his work to be denounced by the Nazis as "degenerate." He left his native Austria for Berlin in 1901, but after the Nazis came to power he fled to the United States. Here, he writes to playwright and screenwriter Clifford Odets, thanking him for sending his congratulations on the occasion of Shoenburg's 70th birthday.
