From 1526 Schöner, now a Lutheran, taught mathematics at the Melanchthon Gymnasium in Nuremberg. He continued to print many works on astronomy and astrology, including several first editions of Regiomontanus's treatises. His own works had all been placed on the Index Librorum Prohibitorum.
