Signed indistinctly "W..." l.l., inscribed and dated "SARAH 1804" on the stern of a
dinghy l.l.
Oil on canvas, 25 x 29 7/8 in. (63.5 x 76.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Lined, scattered retouch, areas of skinning.

Condition Report

Minor retouch to fill craquelure at old stretcher bar marks. Three dots of retouch to sky, each measuring about 1/2 inch diameter, 2 located to center and 1 located u.r. corner. Other very small dots of retouch scattered throughout sky. A small brushed area of retouch to l.l. corner in an area measuring 1/2 x 2 inches overall. Thin pigment application or possible skinning to flag at center, and thin pigment to l.l. quadrant in the water.
