Description

James Mure-Campbell, 5th Earl of Loudoun (1726-1786), wearing grey coat with dark green collar, matching grey waistcoat, white chemise and black cravat, his powdered wig worn en queue.
Gold frame, the reverse glazed to reveal a lock of hair on an ivory panel; together with a contemporary copy of the same miniature in a gold bracelet clasp mount (glass missing), the reverse engraved James/ Earl of Loudon.
