Sergio Cozzuol (Italian b. 1941) Original Oil on Board, Lake Maggiore Italy. Signed by the artist lower right. Professionally framed in gilt wood frame, in frame measures 15"x10"x1". Weight 1 pd 4 oz. PROVENANCE: A Charleston SC Private Estate.Sergio Cozzuol was born in 1941 in Pola, a harbor town on the Adriatic Sea. His family moved to Vincenza in Northern Italy, where young Sergio went to school and later on studied painting at the Academy of Fine Art of Vincenza. Important to his artistic development was his teacher Professor Otello De Maria who directed his attention to the values of classic Vedute painting. Later he studied miniature painting in Milan under Professor Tomaselli, before he settled as a free-lance artist on the Ligurian coast near the famous little harbor town of Portofino - the subject of many of his beautiful paintings. Exhibitions of his paintings are regularly staged throughout Northern Italy, Firenze, Genova, Turin, Cremona, and Portofino to name just a few.
