SEVEN ARCHAISTIC JADE AND HARDSTONE PENDANTS

Late Qing Dynasty

Comprising two small axe pendants of elongated form, the surface undecorated, perforated on the narrow end for stringing, the stone mottled green and brown; a
guqin-shaped pendant with incised lines to indicate string and tone markings, the mottled and stained black in areas; four cicada carvings of various styles, each perforated near the mouth for attachment, the stones altered russet-brown and black in areas. (7)


1 1/2 to 2 1/2in (3.8 to 6.4cm) long

PLEASE NOTE: This report describes, but may not be limited to, major condition issues for the lot.







Overall in good condition. Minor surface pitting and wear. Stones altered to induce colors and textures for the appearance of antiquity. Old hairline crack to the largest cicada, approx. 4.5cm long.
