Group of 34 original illustrations, pen and ink, ink and watercolor, and crayon, on board or on paper, 15 x 13 through 11 x 8 ½ inches, many signed ("Burr Shafer"), some with some edgewear and chips, one with glue staining, others fine.

A large cache of work from this renowned New Yorker and Saturday Review of Literature cartoonist. The work ranges from fine finished work in color or ink and wash, to sketches and ideas. Several were doubtlessly used for publication. Also included are 3 pages of ideas for an advertising assignment.
