Description

Signed and numbered print "Le Nuit" Number 114/150. William Cotton, Artist, began his career after graduating from the renowned Cooper Union in New York. He quickly was recognized as a leader in abstract illusion. These serigraphs are examples of his early works. Each serigraph is 35”x 27” in limited editions of 150 each. They are mixed media, utilizing photography and layers of acrylic color. The artist finishes the process by the addition by hand on each work with airbrushing and individually applied strokes of acrylic brush strokes. William Cotton has shown at prestigious galleries in New York including the Mary Boone Gallery, and also in France Germany and Finland. His recent works command thousands of dollars and is considered a staple in the American community of artists.
