A Lady, wearing white dress, with long puffed gauze sleeves, black mantle lined with bright pink silk over her right shoulder, a cameo brooch at her corsage, she rests her left hand on a sprig of lily-of-the-valley lying on a crimson cloth, a guitar leaning in the corner beyond.
Signed on the reverse and dated Frederic Wm. Burton, R.H.A./ 1836, ormolu frame with scrolling foliate and floral border set on a red velvet mount.
