SIX ARCHAISTIC JADE PLAQUES

Late Qing Dynasty

Comprising two
huang plaques of the same style, carved with neatly lined bosses and perforated at both ends, the stone stained orange-brown and black in areas; a small
huang of elongated shape, perforated on either end, the stone stained orange-brown; a plain
bi disc, the stone mottled russet and black; two
dao coins modeling after ancient bronze prototypes, the one with square opening carved with two archaistic characters, the reverse with symbols of sun and moon, the celadon stones mottled and stained in areas. (6)


2in to 4 1/4in (5.1cm to 10.8cm) long

Minor surface pitting and wear. Stones altered to induce colors and textures for the appearance of antiquity. Old hairline crack to the
bi disc.
