Signed "Stanley Bate" l.l., identified on a Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts label
affixed to the frame.
Oil on Masonite, 18 x 24 in. (45.7 x 61.0 cm), framed.
Condition: Minor surface grime.

Provenance: Acquired directly from the artist, by family descent to the present owner.

Exhibitions: Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, Forty-first Annual Exhibition, January 20 to February 11, 1951 (Awarded The Margaret Cooper Prize).
