Steve Burgess (b. 1960), "Did You See That" oil on panel. Panel: 24"H x 36"W; Frame: 32.25"H x 44.25"W. Signed lower left, "Steve Burgess". Steve, a British artist, says: "My inspiration comes from the places I have travelled and the animals and landscapes around them". He feels that there is nothing like seeing the animals he paints 'for real,' up close and personal, in places like the plains of Africa, where he tries to make at least one visit a year. In 2003 Steve was juried into the Society of Animal Artists and in 2005 he was runner up in the professional category of the Annual Wildlife Art Competition hosted by 'Wildscape' Wildlife Art Magazine, UK.
