Funeral decorations, the funeral chapel, the altar, the catafalque and alegorical vignettes are depicted in this somber commemoration of the funeral of ULRIKA ELEONORA (1688-1741), also known as Ulrika Eleonora the Younger, Queen regnant of Sweden (1718-1720) and then Queen consort until her death. This work provides a pictorial account of the funeral obsequies held at Stockoholm in 1771 for ADOLF FREDRIK, King of Sweden (1710-1771), as well as the coronation celebrations for GUSTAV III (1746-1792) in 1772. Eight plates illustrate the funeral services including the King's catafalque, the funerary decorations, and plans of the order of the funeral procession, and seven plates illustrate decorations and plans relating to the coronation.
