Lot 137: Stuart Sutcliffe

Two pages taken from an art school sketch book circa 1960, one a life study depicting a figure reading a book in blue ink and wash, the other an abstract study in black ink and wash, both -- 7x4 1/4 in. (17.8x10.8cm.); and a piece of paper signed in blue ink Stuart Sutcliffe [clipped]; accompanied by a black and white photograph of subject with John Lennon and George Harrison (printed later) -- 11x8 1/2 in. (27.9x21.6cm.) (4)

These sketches, and those in the previous lot, were originally part of one of Stuart Sutcliffe's sketchbooks used during his studies at the Liverpool College Of Art circa 1960.
