Description

29" x 21", signed. Important Cincinnati modernist. Van Veen studied with Thomas Hart Benton. He frequently worked in watercolor, and was an instructor at the Cincinnati Art Academy from 1946-49. He executed several murals for the WPA across the country, and exhibited extensively from the 1930s-60s.
