Style of Thomas Bardwell (1704-1767) Portrait of Mrs Moore, seated, three quarter length, wearing a cream satin dress Inscribed on various old labels verso, oil on canvas, 76cm by 91cm Inscribed verso At one point the work was said to be painted by Romney Stylistically the work bears some similarity to the work of George Beare (fl.1744-1749), Mason Chamberlain (1727-1787), Bartholomew Dandridge, Charles Jervas, Tilly Kettle and George Knapton
