Two portraits: Capt. A. Davies, wearing black coat, checked blue waistcoat and black cravat; and an Infantry Officer called Col. John Wilson, wearing scarlet coat, gold epaulettes and lace, the cords from his crimson waist sash looped up on to his chest, a campaign medal on blue ribbon pinned to his chest

Sydney Buck was the son of the miniaturist Adam Buck. He exhibited at the Royal Academy 1839-49.
Capt. Davies was in the Bengal Native Infantry and Col. Wilson (1791-1873) was in the Madras Army (1807-44).
