Description

T. L. LANGE MIXED MEDIA & COLLAGE ABSTRACT: T.L. Lange (1965 - 2002, America), Expressionistic and surrealistic image created in collage and mixed media on archival paper with, pen and ink, charcoal, acrylic, and watercolor on heavy paper and applied Wall Street Journal and Classified Newspaper clippings. Unsigned but with a copy of the Certificate of Authenticity from Hospitality Galleries, who sold several of his pieces. Deckled paper edge float farmed on linen, paper: 16”h x 22”w, 40.64cm x 55.88cm. Archivally framed: 29”h x 24”w, 73.66cm x 60.96cm. Purchased from Hospitality Galleries, Orlando, FL circa 1998. BIOGRAPHY: T. L. Lange (Anthony Leo Lange). Lange was born in Pennsylvania but moved progressively southward, studying painting and drawing at Winthrop College, South Carolina and eventually moving to Atlanta, Georgia for a brief period and then moving back to Atlanta. His paintings are characterized by deeply saturated color sometimes with fully abstract compositions and some with suggested figures. They invite narrative but offer none as the viewer is encouraged to create a personal narrative. In his brief career Lange had several shows 2005 Mason Murer Fine Art, Atlanta GA. PROVENANCE: Purchased c. 1998 from Hospitality Galleries, Orlando Florida by the consignors. This piece is from the private archive collection of Smith Earnest Interiors Inc., design firm run by Jeffry Smith and Olen Earnest for over 20 years. The firm specializes in custom interior design for estates, homes and yachts throughout the United States. Their designs have been featured in USA Today, House Beautiful Houses and Plans, Christies Great Estates, Florida Architecture, Florida Design, Orlando Magazine, Orlando Home Design and Women’s Day Kitchen and Baths to name but a few. Their designs have taken numerous awards, some of which include the prestigious Best in America Living Award from the NAHB (National Association of Home Builders) for the ‘Best One of a Kind Spec House in the United States’ in 1997 and more recently, two Aurora Awards in 2003 for the best $3,000,001 and over One of a Kind Custom Home and also the $2,000,000 - $3,000,000 One of a Kind Custom Home.

PAYMENT
Payment must be paid in full before property is released. After the auction bidders will receive an invoice via email detailing winning lots and charges at which time payment is due. Payment accepted includes: Check, Cash, Visa, AMEX, Discover, MasterCard and PayPal. The invoice will have a live link to PayPal. Checks will need to clear before Rare-Era will release the property. In cases of non-payment, the Auctioneer's right to void the sale does not relieve the bidder from their obligation to pay both seller's and buyer's premium and any damages incurred from loss of sale. Paid items left beyond 30 days become gallery property and will be sold.

BUYER'S PREMIUM
A 25% Buyer's premium will be in affect, in addition to the hammer or purchase price. All bidders will be subject to a 7% Florida State sales tax unless they have a have a valid Florida State Resale Certificate on file with Rare-Era.com prior to bidding.

SHIPPING
Pick-up, Packing, Shipping and Insurance of purchased lots is conducted by P.C.
