[TAMAMURA, KOZABURO]
Album containing 114 photographs of Japan. Hand-colored albumen prints, mostly depicting scenes of street life, with handwritten captions underneath; images 5 1/2 x 4 inches (140 x 100 mm), in various formats. Edges of album bumped, prints mounted onto pages.
The images are not signed in any way, but appear typical of the photographer's prodigious output. He was responsible for the mounted photos in Brinkley's Japan, and had a thriving trade selling to tourists.
