Original brown pictorial wrappers printed in purple. Few parts cleanly detached from wrappers, light soiling to part 1, a little edge-chipping but generally clean and crisp.

FINE FIRST EDITION IN ORIGINAL PARTS. "The most complete and elegantly Illustrated Work on Europe ever produced" (back wrapper advertisement). It was sold by subscription only at the cost of 50 cents per part.
