in neoclassical taste, the surface richly chased with flowers within arches and Ionic columns, the base applied with diamond-set Roman numeral XXV, reversible to form the Latin initials M and V for Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna and Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich in commemoration of their 25th wedding anniversary, struck with workmaster's initials and Fabergé in Cyrillic, scratched inventory number 1385, 56 standard
