Description

Huge museum oil painting by Alex Zwarenstein who was born in 1952 in Southern Rhodesia which is now Zimbabwe and is now famous thoughout the world for painting structural architecture and the elements that encompass it. Zwarenstein works in various mediums including oil, gouache and watercolor and his palette is vibrantly punctuated with contrasting surfaces of opaqueness and translucency. His art holds a very high value in investment art and he is currently featured in Carrier Pigeon Magazine! At 17 he left Africa in search to master his craft and studied in London at the Royal Academy of Art where he obtained his Master’s Degree in painting. He has received many awards such as the Royal Academy of Art Gold Medal and the Turner Traveling Scholarship. He spent 10 years giving back to the art community by teaching at the Harrow College of Art in England, Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, the National Academy of Design, and the Art Students League. This piece is framed, signed and comes w/COA.

For items that are too large for in-house shipment, a gallery approved vendor will be provided for crate and freight services. For framed artwork, since we (New Ideas Auction House) sell the item based on being framed and matted prior to being consigned to the gallery, we (New Ideas Auction House) will not remove any item from the frame and/or matting, unless there is damage to a front glass panel prior to being sold.
