The Painter " Friends" " Patrick Hennessy R.H.A. (1915 - 1980) and Harry Robertson Craig R.H.A., R.U.A. (1916 - 1984) A most attractive pair of miniature portraits, one of H. Robertson Craig by Patrick Hennessy, inscribed " Harry, Dec. '60 Patrick Hennessy, " the other a portrait of Patrick Hennessy by H. Robertson Craig, inscribed " To Ursie and Stephen with love from Harry, Patrick, Christmas 1960, " on reverse. Each approx. 9cms x 6cms (3 1/2" x 2 1/2" ), in matching ornate carved giltwood frames, with domed top. " Provenance: Lady Ursula Vernon (nee Grosvenor, daughter of 2nd Duke of Westminister, who resided at Bruree House. Patrick Hennessy was a close friend, and regular visitor to Bruree House, and to Fairyfield, her seaside home at Kinsale, Co. Cork. (2)
