Description

TOMMASO GENTILE (Italy, 1853-?) Circa 1900 Bronze Mirror. The large Art Nouveau dressing mirror depicts two nude women, one sitting and one standing, above a large clam shell base. The bronze sculpture retains the original beveled glass mirror. Fresh from a Southampton, NY estate, with a rich brown patina. Signed on the conch shell "Gentile 1900" on the bottom edge and bears the "Kunst-Erzgiesserei" Vienna foundry mark on the left side. In good condition with some minor silvering loss on the mirror. Measures 33 ¾" in height.
