Condition Report

Visual: Stable craquelure throughout. Minor frame abrasion and losses along the edges, particularly the lower left extreme corner. Would benefit from relining or correction made to the existing lining by a professional art conservator. Blacklight: A 3" x 7" area of touch-up around the white sail in the right center quadrant and a .75" x 3" area and other scattered spots of touch-up beneath the sail. A .75" x 3" scattered horizontal area of touch-up to the left and a .5" x 2.5" horizontal area to the right of the yellow sailed boat. A 2" diameter scattered area of touch-up in the upper right quadrant with a few other scattered spots of touch-up in the sky in the right center and upper left quadrants. Two nickel-sized areas of touch-up in the lower center quadrant on the distant hills. The lower left quadrant and areas through the lower sky fluoresce unevenly under blacklight apparently due to uneven varnish.
