she stands looking down pensively as she reads the book of the hundred poets, a poem above her head inscribed:

kuchibeni o sashite warau ya ume no hana
'Applying lipstick they laugh - the flowers of the plum'

publisher's mark of Iwatoya Genpachi, signed Torii Kiyomitsu ga with seal Kiyomitsu

Condition Note:

Very good impression, rather toned and faded, some horizontal fold-marks particularly to the upper section
