Original vintage travel advertising poster in English and French for British European Airways: Fly BEA - Britain – Economy Speed Comfort. Great illustration by the British artist Daphne Padden (1927-2009; daughter of Percy Padden) depicting the picturesque church and old cottage houses under a bright blue sky in the village of Stoke-by-Nayland in Suffolk with trees in the foreground and background, the Fly BEA logo above and the text below in stylised letters. Printed in Great Britain by Waterlow & Sons Limited, London and Dunstable. Very good condition, light staining, minor tears on right margin, backed on linen. Country: UK, year: 1953, artist: Daphne Padden, size(cm): 102x63.5.
