Lot 1276: Two Italian Musical Angels in Architectural Gilt Frames, after Fra Angelico (Italian, 1395-1455)

Florentine brightly gilt larger architectural frame with spiral columns, pointed arch top, spires, hand stippled designs, and hand painted in polychrome image of an angel with a trumpet in the larger frame, gilt accents; hook at the back to hang on the wall, old paper label attached to the back, 15-3/4" x 5-1/2". Smaller architectural brightly gilt frame with hand decorated in polychrome lithographic print of an angel with a tambourine and signed "Cantale Domino!", gilt accents, under glass; back wood support to put on the table, and double hooks on the back to hang on the wall, 9-7/8" x 3-1/4". Probably early 20th century.
