Lot 2092: U.S. Harper's Ferry Model 1803 Rifle with Two U.S.N. Swords

Later production, dated 1815 on the lock plate. Blade and notch sights on the barrel, with faint proofs, reconverted to flintlock. Standard lock markings. Smooth stock, minus barrel band, with brass trigger guard, buttplate and trapdoor. With a pair of U.S.N. swords, acid etched with engraved through handguards, wrapped rayskin grips and brass fittings with rope designs on the sheaths, with one being black leather and the other red painted fish skin. Swords are good to very good.
