Concertina-folded as issued, with one printed page serving as front cover and another as back cover. Restoration along folds, a few marginal tears closed. This luxurious pamphlet was originally issued in 1899 to commemorate Pushkin's centenary. This later large paper printing, issued and during World War I, is far more opulent than the first. Vasnetsov's paintings of Mother Russia's glorious past profoundly influenced I. Ya. Bilibin's art.
