Two original comic strip illustrations for Bringing up Father. One dated 10-11, the other 11-5. One with a 1960 King Features syndicate copyright label.
Vernon Greene took over Bringing up Father (aka Maggie and Jigs) in 1954 after the death of series creator George McMannus. Greene ran the strip until his own death from cancer in 1965. Before Bringing up Father Greene was a sports cartoonist for the Portland Telegram and an illustrator for the comic book series The Shadow.
Ink on paper, each 6 1/2" x 20".
