The picture is on canvas and has been given a firm reline. There is some frame abrasion evident along the lower edge. Under ultra-violet light some retouching is visible to craquelure and paint loss in the sky. This is concentrated just above the palace and near the right hand edge. There are some older retouchings within the foliage. These appear merely cosmetic. There is a cloudy varnish obscuring most of the landscape which suggests that the sky was cleaned prior to infilling of paint loss. The picture is presented in a 20th century decorative frame.

No VAT will be charged on the hammer price, but VAT at 17.5% will be added to the buyer's premium which is invoiced on a VAT inclusive basis.
