NOTE

Källström studied in Paris, Rome, London and Copenhagen. He was awarded prizes at the Parisian salons, notably in 1952, 1953, 1955 and 1956 with his abstract expressionist sculptures at the Salon des Réalités Nouvelles. The present lot, with its modern handling of form, is an exceptionally early example of his work, cast by the famed Parisian founders Valsuani.
