NOTE

Pasini was primarily a painter but turned to the chisel on a number of occasions. His marble groups are primarily concerned with representations of youth, as in the present group and a standing figure of an underage smoker entitled Fumatore Precoce (c.1920). Pasini was active in Liguria, primarily in Savona and Genoa where he exhibited until 1941.
