Walter Burger designed this lithograph for the Kunstedition AHSGA, which was started in 1993 by the Swiss Fachstelle für Aids- und Sexualfragen (a specialist unit fof HIV/AIDS and other sexual diseases). Famous artist from Eastern Switzerland were asked to design a graphic artwork for the institution. The edition included 7 graphics, which were printed by Stoob printing house, St. Gallen.

Condition:
The lithograph in colors is in a very good condition. The image dimensions measure 55.5 x 78.8 cm, while the sheet size is 60.3 x 80.5 cm.

Walter Burger (1923-1010)
The extensive oeuvre of artist Walter Burger, who was born in 1923 in Emmern (Luzern), comprises more than six decades. Burger attended the art school in St. Gallen and in 1946/47 began working on fresco and stained glass in the studio of Hans Stocker at Basel. In 1952 he was awarded with the sponsorship award of the Federal Commission for Fine Art. His works, which until the 50s were oil paintings, since 1950 were mainly wall designs and since 1960 three-dimensional installations, watercolors, screen prints and jewelry designs, have been presented in numerous exhibitions.
