Notes

This fan was written in 1941 by then leader of the Nanjing Nationalist Government, Wang Jingwei. Mention in the upper colophon of Li Shikan dedicates this painting to Li Xuanti (1894-1961), a native of Fujian. During the Beiyang regime Li was made general and was author of The Biography of Wang Jingwei.
