Brigid (Polk) Berlin (American, b. 1939), leather belt with cross stitched repeating erotic imagery and signature BB cross-stitched l.l. with note written in pen on paper, Dear Bob - / Hope you enjoy it. Get lots of wear out of it / And cause a big scandal - / Brigid / Oct. 15, 1982; Brigid Berlin, a rebellious Manhattan socialite, became intimate friends with Andy Warhol, and was associated with the Warhol Factory during the 1960s and 70s. Berlin was a prolific artist in her own right, known for her "Trip" books, compilations of anything and everything while under the influence of amphetamines during her travels and exploits; belt lg. 38.5 in.; note 3.5 x 5 in.; 12.75 x 46 in. (framed).
