TERMS

1. All clients purchasing goods have to pay a buyer's premium of 23% of the amount for which the item has been knocked down. (This percentage includes all taxes). The prices between brackets, mentioned in the catalogue, are approximate prices in Euros. The bidding will start approximate at ca. 80%, unless two or more written bids require a higher stake.
2. All items are assumed to be in good condition unless otherwise described. If any serious defect, not mentioned in the catalogue, should be found, the item concerned can be returned. Provided this is done within one week after receipt.
3. In case intending purchasers are prevented from attending the sale personally, the auctioneer will execute their bids without any charge. 'Buy' bids are not accepted. Written bids as well as bids by telephone, fax or e-mail should be received at least 24 hours before the auction.
4. The books remain property of the auctioneer for as long there has not been payed.
5. The persons who bought by written bid will receive a bill. In the course of 7 days after payment, the books will be send by Boekhandel de Roo to their destination. Shipping within The Netherlands is at cost of Boekhandel de Roo. Shipping to foreign countries is at cost and risk of the purchaser.
6. Before or after the auction, no books that are registered in the catalogue will be sold privately. At latest a week after the auction, the lots that remained can be bought for the upset-price with buyer's premium.
7. The auctioneer has the right to rectify errors and to refuse any bid without stating reasons. In case of dispute, the auctioneer alone is entitled to decide on price and/or purchaser. The auctioneer has the right to declare void unclear biddings from the persons present.
8. The highest bidder is the purchaser. Each buyer is held to buy for his own account and cannot claim any commission, unless with the knowledge or by permission of the auctioneer.
9. Written bidders and persons present can assume that the auctioneer will raise the lots after upset-price as described: from € 0-200 with € 10, from € 200-500 with € 25, and from € 500-1000 with € 50 etc.
10. By placing a bid, the bidder accepts the Conditions of Sale.
