"St. Francis" and "Francis taken into captivity to Perugia," 2 etchings, artist's proofs, 267 x 413 mm and 267 x 406 mm respectively, signed, titled and dated February 1998 and May 1993. Published: Saint Francis (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 1995). Wildsmith's retelling of the famous Italian saint's life is one of his most sensitive works. Publishers Weekly called it "a gorgeous book and an ideal gift." Printed on the verso of "Francis taken into captivity to Perugia" is the same etching in sepia.
