Native signed and dated "WH Holmes 1880" l.r., Branch inscribed and date
"CHRISTMAS 1926" l.l. and signed "W.H. HOLMES" l.r., dedicated "To Mrs....Pilling/Christmas 1926/From W.H.Holmes" on the backing.
Watercolor on paper, sight sizes to 10 5/8 x 7 in. (27.0 x 17.8 cm), framed.
Condition: Native sandwiched between window and backing mat; both with subtle rippling, foxing and toning; Branch not examined out of frame.

Provenance: Through a descendant of the artist, Greenwich, Connecticut.
