Terms and Conditions of Discovery Auctions: By registering for this auction you agree to the terms and conditions as stated below:

Conditions: Chandler's Auctions and Estate Sales (CAES) dba The AEG strives to accurately describe the items being sold, but all property offered for sale is strictly "AS-IS WHERE-IS" with all faults. All sales are final, and no refunds are given. The sales records and recordings shall be conclusive. It is the responsibility of the bidder to determine the exact condition and authenticity of each item. No statement by representatives of C.A.E.S. shall be considered as a warranty or assumption of liability. Oral descriptions given by C.A.E.S. staff members in person are given as a courtesy to a client, are only an opinion, and should not be considered as a guarantee of age, composition, or authenticity. By bidding, you signify that you have either closely examined the items, have chosen not to examine them, or have hired an independent agent to examine the item(s) for you.

Auctioneer: Chandler Eshleman, NCAL#9849. The auctioneer reserves the right to withdraw a lot for any reason he deems appropriate or if there is a lack of bidding interest or lack of appropriate bids unless auction is advertised as absolute. C.A.E.S. shall always have the right to withdraw any item at any time for any reason and to default any sale in the event of an error or dispute.

Terms: Sales are subject to the following terms and conditions of sale: Bidding is available by live in-house bidding, Internet bidding, and Phone/Absentee Bidding. There is an 18% buyer's premium for live bidding or 21% for phone or absentee bidding with a 3% buyer's premium DISCOUNT when payment is presented with cash or good check. Internet bidding is 23% Buyer's Premium with no discounts offered. Payment is due at the end of the auction by cash, certified funds, wired funds, or approved check. Visa and MasterCard are available for purchases under $1000. Invoices greater than $1000 require cash, certified funds, or good check. North Carolina sales tax in Rowan County is 7.00%. Only bidder's providing a copy of their Official Tax Exemption Number will be exempt from paying tax.

Estimated Weights and Measurements: Weights in description have been estimated through measurement and are to be used as approximate guidelines and not relied on as exact. Unless otherwise stated, all stones have been measured and graded in their settings. Metal weight given for jewelry items with stones is inclusive of stone weight. Buyers are reminded that many colored gemstones have historically been treated to enhance their appearance.

Clocks and Watches: No representation or warranty that any clock or watch is in working order is given. There is no guarantee to works or movements. Virtually all clocks and watches have been repaired during their lifetime and may include parts not original to them.

Payment: All items must be paid for on sale day by attending bidders and Internet/Phone/Absentee bidders are required to make payment within 5 days of auction. Invoices with a total of $1000 or more require payment by certified funds or wire transfer. No credit cards are processed by phone.
Ownership: Ownership of an item is conveyed immediately following the fall of the auctioneer's hammer. C.A.E.S. will have no liability for any loss or damage to an item after the hammer has fallen.

Loading: Loading purchased items is the responsibility of the buyer. CAES/AEG staff will, as a courtesy, assist with the loading following the sale when staff is available, but this is done at the risk and responsibility of the buyer. C.A.E.S will have no liability for any damage while providing loading assistance. Bidders are responsible for removing items from premises the day of the sale. All bidders are required to remove items within scheduled calendar pick up dates. Items left after the date of sale are considered forfeit unless arrangements are made with the auctioneer for a scheduled pick-up date prior to auction or prior to leaving premises. If arranged pick-up appointment is not met, bidders are subject to a $10.00 per lot/per day storage fee for items stored at The AEG which must be paid prior to release of said items. Items left beyond set pick-up date are considered forfeit after 10-days or when storage fees exceed hammer price of lot and may be resold or donated to charity. The AEG is not obligated to notify the winning bidder that the abandoned lot(s) will be resold at auction or donated. Abandoned Property: Without prior arrangements, any lot(s) remaining at The AEG more than 10 calendar days after the auction purchase date will be considered abandoned and will be resold at auction to off-set the storage fees. C.A.E.S. /The A.E.G. is not obligated to notify the winning bidder that the abandoned lot(s) will be resold at auction or donated to charity.

Paid invoices may be picked up Sunday, Sept. 23, 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.; Monday, Sept. 24 and Tuesdaa, Sept. 25 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.

Additional fees apply to electrical items and fixtures which require specialized removal.

Any items not removed from the Uwharrie Point home by Tuesday, Sept. 25, will be subject to a handling and storage fee from $50-100 per item for furniture and larger items with smaller items ranging from $25-$40. Winning bidders and shippers will need to make appointments to pick up from Chandler's in Salisbury, NC, for items moved after Sept. 25.

Chandler's does not ship. Shipping is the responsibility of the winning bidder. Items not collected by shippers within 30 days of auction are forfeit.

Credit cards are not processed by phone. All invoices totalling $1000 or more require payment using certified funds or wire transfer.
