(LOTS 1 - 135)

PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE COLLECTION, SOUTH AMERICA

Although his work was exhibited regularly at the R.A. from 1813 to 1859, little is known of William Smith, which, given the fine quality of his work is unusual. Based in Shropshire, he concentrated mainly on painting sporting dogs and horses.
